First Report
Late autumn rain fell the night the stage manager collapsed. Han Dong-yeol had worked this municipal theater for fifteen years. Winter season rehearsal had just wrapped when his heart stopped on stage. Four people remained in the building. Cause of death: ventricular fibrillation—a witnessed cardiac arrest where the heart quivers uselessly instead of pumping blood. Someone saw him drop. Yet it took eleven minutes to deliver the first shock that might have restarted his heart. Interrogate the four who were there during those eleven minutes. Determine whether this death was misfortune or something else.
