At Seoha Medical Center's Cardiac Rehabilitation Center exercise therapy room, Kim Man-sik—a clinical exercise physiologist who once prescribed exercise intensity tailored to patients' bodies and now himself a rehabilitation patient—collapsed and died. He fell during a high-intensity exercise stress session, a deliberate cardiac load designed to test the heart. Cause of death: cardiac arrest from acute myocardial ischemia. A heart with a history of coronary artery disease—narrowed vessels starving the muscle of blood—had been pushed beyond what it could bear. Interrogate the five people present at that session and determine whether this death was an accident or something else.
