The Hand That Pushed Back
At the Danha Vocational Rehabilitation Center's occupational therapy wing, safety manager Choi Su-kyung was found dead beneath a hydraulic lift platform on the sheltered workshop line—a protected work area designed for people with disabilities. That day she'd been assigned to the line as a substitute, inspecting hazard zone markings, and the line had been running normally right up until the accident. The descent lever was jammed all the way down and locked in place. Interrogate the five people entangled in this death and determine whose hand pushed that lever and held it there.

5 suspects

Noh Da-kyungoccupational therapist (sheltered workshop line record keeper)Mid-thirties. Quiet and precise with records. Doesn't volunteer statements that might put others in difficulty, but when asked directly, says what she saw.
Yoon Hee-wonrehabilitation center patient safety and rights reporting officerMid-forties. Soft-spoken, quick with paperwork. Retreats behind 'I followed procedure' for difficult questions, doesn't hold eye contact long.
Lee Tae-ohoccupational therapy wing materials assistant (rehabilitation work)Early forties. Few words, speaks only what's necessary and briefly. Slow hands but accurate, dislikes passing his share of work to others. When questions run long, silence lengthens instead of answers.

Exhibits
Recovery Program Operation Record and Supply Ledger
This is the recovery program's operation record and supply ledger kept in the occupational therapy wing's counseling room. Session dates and participant signatures for each scheduled meeting are filled in without gaps. Signatures for receipt of grounding tools—stabilization devices that use sensation to return the body to the here and now when anxiety rises—are likewise complete. On the surface, no operational defects are visible.
Lift Platform Operation Log and Descent Lever
The lift platform operation log shows one descent operation at the time of the accident. Normally material descent is divided into two or three stages, but that day the operation sequence was off.
Underground Hydraulic Pump Room Equipment Log
This is the equipment log from the occupational therapy wing's underground hydraulic pump room. Hydraulic system pressure adjustment work was scheduled for that afternoon on the day of the accident.
