Discharge Sequence

Seolun Metropolitan City Wastewater Treatment Plant, Sludge Digestion & Dewatering Building. Deep winter, dead of night. Seo Gi-beom, an external contract inspector, was found dead in the underground pit—a narrow work trench dug below floor level in the dewatering building. Cause of death: acute hydrogen sulfide poisoning, the rotten-egg gas. At that hour the surplus gas discharge system stood open. The digester—a large sealed tank where sludge is broken down by microbes—was running. Inside it, the agitator churned the slurry. Interrogate the five people who were on-site that night and find the hand that moved that system.
